Polestar's 3 High Performance SUV and Sport Sedan Shines at Goodwood FOS 2023

Finally, thanks to Tomi at GadgetBoy, we can get an up-close glance at the Polestar 3 SUV, 5 Sport Sedan and P6 Roadster at Goodwood Festival of Speed 2023.
At the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Polestar 5 unleashed up the hill with its all-electric performance sedan prototype. Although it may end up looking slightly different when it goes into production in 2024, we can still assume that the model presented was close to what will be sold. Furthermore, a prototype of the upcoming Polestar 3 SUV was also present. Since this is not camouflaged and has been seen before, it should reflect its eventual market version.
The Polestar 5 draws inspiration from the Precept concept which debuted in 2020. To ensure its performance, the EV maker has opted for a modified powertrain with dual-motor architecture which generates 650 kW or 884 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque or 663 lb-ft of torque.

NEW POWERTRAIN BY POLESTAR
The Polestar 5 four-door GT EV is being developed from the Precept, a concept car first revealed in 2020. To power it, the EV maker has designed a fresh powertrain that utilizes a two-motor setup providing an output of 650 kW, or 884 horsepower with 900 Nm of torque (663 lb-ft).
The Polestar 5 is still in its prototyping phase, so no information yet on battery range, charging time or top speed. However, the new powertrain is promising for the future of Polestar's lineup - such as the Polestar 6 - which has been slated for a 2026 launch and could benefit from this improved engine.
NEW CAR RELEASES FOR POLESTAR
Polestar is gearing up to start production of the 3, their electric SUV, in the first quarter of 2024, with deliveries expected to begin shortly after in the second quarter. Afterwards, they plan to launch the 4, featuring a camera instead of a rear window.
Following the two releases, Polestar is expected to bring the Polestar 5 later on in 2024. As of yet, there are no pricing details available for the model; however, due to its strong build and performance, it's likely that its cost will be comparable to those of Tesla's Model S or Lucid Air.
