The EP9 was designed and engineered from scratch, to create an electric-powered car like nothing before it. This model isn't just a game changer in terms of performance, but also as a zero emissions solution – the first of its kind.

Every time an electric car launches, it's always been compared to a Tesla. NIO EP9 is on a higher level. Its styling is exciting and familiar, bearing more than a passing resemblance to a Koenigsegg cars.

The EP9 introduces a novel method of constructing performance cars that can handle the physical strain of 3G force; its structural sturdiness and aerodynamic efficiency equipping it with the needed top speeds. The EP9 boasts a staggering 1 megawatt of power (1,341bhp). That makes it substantially more powerful than the Bugatti Veyron or LaFerrari.

The Tesla Model S can accelerate from rest to 124mph in only 7.1 seconds, quicker than the Mazda MX-5's 0-62mph time and its top speed is a remarkable 195mph, towering over the majority of electric vehicles. On the Nürburgring race track it was able to lap in an impressive 7m05s - a record that we assume wasn't difficult to claim.

MAX Speed of 313KPH and 0 - 200 KPH in 7.1 seconds, alongside maximum power of 1MW, make this machine a powerful one.

Charge times for the car are very short and can be done in 45 minutes. What performance this grants it is unknown, but multiple 7.1 second bursts at full capacity could reduce the range figure of 265 miles considerably.

The Nio EP9's manufacturer, NextEV, boasts that it has 3G abilities in corners, despite not being a cell phone. It can handle some intense G-force as well. The chassis is constructed to the same standards as Le Mans LMP1, containing tons of carbon which increases its strength and keeps the weight to a relatively hefty 1,735kg, bearing in mind all the batteries inside it.
